1.  What kind of products do you provide?

  1. Unlike most other cabinetry companies, we provide only custom cabinetry. All of our cabinetry can be produced in unlimited sizes, configurations, and finishes. Some of our lines are more flexible and capable than others, but we do not carry stock (pre-made) or semi-custom lines. Our product price range goes from mid-range to upper end, depending on the product. We create one-of-a-kind kitchen design, bedroom furniture, office furniture, wall units and entertainment centers. We also provide custom bathroom design, bathroom vanities and bathroom cabinets. In addition, Eurotech’s designers have extensive experience creating custom furniture design that is limited only by your imagination.

We custom design all the projects that we do. EuroTech’s wide range of kitchen cabinets and bath cabinets allow our clients to select from a wide variety of standard and custom door styles, species and finishes available from the manufacturers we represent. We also have a full-service shop on our premises where our skilled craftsmen fabricate and finish custom furniture from a limitless selection of fine hardwoods, veneers, laminates and specialty materials.

2.  Do you provide installation services for your products?

  1. Yes, we install 99% of the custom cabinetry we provide.  We have the best custom cabinet installers in Sarasota.  We only use installers who have been Eurotech trained.  We have sold cabinetry without installation services if the clients have their own installers.  If this is the case, we provide support services just as we would if we were doing the installation ourselves.

3.  Do you reface or recover existing cabinets?

  1. No, we do not reface, recover or re-finish existing cabinetry.  We only provide new custom cabinetry.

4.  Do I need to set up an appointment or can I just come in?

  1. It's fine with us if you come in anytime without an appointment. However, scheduling an appointment ahead of time ensures that you will get the undivided attention of one of our designers. For high quality kitchen designs, bathroom designs or custom furniture designs, getting to know our clients and their needs is essential. Either way, we will make certain that your needs are addressed.

5.  Do I need to bring in my own plans or will you create a design for me?

  1. Design services are a large part of what we offer.  It is one of our greatest strengths.  We just need wall dimensions or blue prints and your ideas to begin the process.  (We will come to your residence to confirm dimensions)  We believe the design for any custom cabinetry or built-in furniture is best achieved as a collaborative effort between the client and the designer.  After all, you know best what you need, how you live, what you like, etc.  But you also need a professional to help you put it all together.

6.  How long does it take to get cabinets?

  1. It depends on the type of cabinets you are looking for. Some of our custom cabinetry is available in 6-8 weeks, some take as much as 12-14 weeks. The most important thing to remember is that the sooner we start, the sooner we can get you your custom cabinetry. Like most other high quality products, high quality kitchen cabinets or high quality bathroom cabinets are made with a great deal of attention to detail which takes more time than stock or standard cabinetry.

7.  Do you have references?

Yes, we have numerous references available to our clients.  Our clients are thrilled with our products and services.  They include not only homeowners, but also interior designers, contractors, architects and other professionals.

8.  Do you work on remodeling projects or new construction?

We handle both new construction and remodeling projects. In regards to remodeling, depending on the size and scope of the project, we can handle your project a few different ways. A project that requires minimal plumbing (disconnect and re-connect of sink, disposal and dishwasher) can be handled entirely by us. A more detailed project that requires more than minimal needs (such as moving plumbing, adding or deleting electrical lighting, switches, etc., moving or building walls or soffits, modifying mechanical components, drywall work, flooring) can be handled by working with a licensed contractor of your choice or we can refer one of the licensed contractors we have worked with.

9.  How much does a new kitchen/bath cost?

As you might imagine, there is a wide range of pricing for kitchen cabinetry and bath cabinetry projects.  The final cost will be determined by many factors.  The size of the space, the extent of construction and/or mechanical elements, the type and quality of the cabinets, appliances, countertops, fixtures, fittings and other finished materials such as flooring, lighting, etc.  Our products generally price from the mid-range to the upper end of the price (and design) spectrum.  These quality offerings minimize product-related headaches and allow us to focus on extraordinary design, impeccable installation and excellent customer service.

10.  Do you give free estimates?

Yes we do.  If you have a floor plan for your project- a blueprint, sketch or even an idea of the size of the space, a member of our sales staff can give you a rough “guesstimate” of what custom cabinetry costs might be in a range of different products.  If you don’t have a blue print or sketch, then we come to your residence and take dimensions and then give you a “guesstimate”.  Again, there is no charge for this service.

11 Is there a charge for kitchen design services?

While some other companies charge for kitchen design and bathroom design services, we do not.  Custom design is one of our biggest strengths, but we do not sell plans.  We sell completed projects.   If, after reviewing our products, preliminary design concepts and our initial estimate, you wish to proceed, we will ask you to sign an “Intent to Purchase Agreement” (ITP).  This minimal financial commitment is not a design fee.  It simply allows us to devote the time necessary to design, draw and price a project to your exacting specifications.  Our designers will work with you to come up with a plan that meets your specific needs, desires and budget.   We will modify the drawings and pricing as often as required until  everything meets with your approval.   All ITP funds are credited directly toward the final price of your kitchen cabinet, bath cabinet or custom furniture purchase.

12.  Are your designers Certified Kitchen and Bath Designers (CKDs, CBDs)?

We are long-standing members of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), the largest professional organization of our industry.  NKBA administers the Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) and Certified Bath Designer (CBD) programs.  One of our lead designers, Tracey Scalzo, CKD,CBD has been actively involved in NKBA leadership for over fifteen years.  All of our designers have many years of experience and their work has been featured in regional and national publications.  They also regularly participate in the excellent professional development programs offered by NKBA as well as other educational opportunities to keep them on the cutting edge of this ever-evolving industry.

13.  Do you do countertops?

While we don’t sell and install just countertops, we do offer a variety of countertop materials for our projects.  Solid woods in a variety of species, butchers block, veneers, solid surfacing (Corian, Avonite, etc.), engineered stone (Caesarstone, Zodiac, etc.) and plastic laminate (Formica).  We don’t fabricate stone, but we are happy to refer you to reputable granite fabricators, so you can buy direct and save.

14.  Are your kitchen and bathroom designs more traditional or contemporary?

We do both.  While we do have a reputation for cutting-edge contemporary kitchen designs, we are also well known for our phenomenal traditional kitchen designs.  All of our designers are well versed in a variety of styles.  We have been creating traditional looks with lots of detailing and the multi-step finishes that have been quite popular for a number of years.  We also do more transitional looks and period and theme design as well.  If your style is Olde World, French Country, Beach Cottage or Space-Age Fantasy, we’ll work with you to create the look that you want.

15.  I’ve seen so many things I like, I don’t know what I want.  Where do I start?

Looking through model homes, books and magazines can be very helpful and very confusing.  What design trends have staying power?  Will you really use this intriguing accessory?  Our designers can help you sort through the various options and help identify those elements that appeal to you. They will help you come up with a unique plan that incorporates the features and look that best suits you, your family and your lifestyle.

16.  What is “Universal Design”?

You may have heard terms like “universal design” and “aging in place.”  Please, don’t think “handicapped.”  These are emerging design trends that encourage all of us to take into account the needs of all the people who use a space throughout a lifespan.  Simple things like multiple lighting levels allow us to modify the illumination for specific tasks, ambiance or differing visual acuity.    Multiple countertop heights in the kitchen offer comfort and convenience to users of various heights, or seated users. An attractive grab bar in the bath/shower increases the safety of all users including, perhaps especially, children.    In short, we can design attractive, functional spaces that not only accommodate and adapt to temporary or permanent physical challenges, but make all of our lives easier, safer and more convenient.

17.  Do you make built-in furniture?

We custom design and fabricate all kinds of built-in furniture.  We do banquettes, home offices, dining rooms and wall units of all types- home theaters and entertainment centers, libraries, etc.  We also make some unique free-standing pieces such as sofa tables, coffee tables and specialty pieces with remote controlled TV lifts.

18.  What kind of showroom do you have?

Our fabulous 3,500 square foot showroom features dozens of different displays of kitchens, baths and custom furniture in many different styles.  You can take a virtual tour of the showroom here.  We maintain an extensive resource library of different door samples, finishes, countertop materials, etc.  Several photo books of completed projects are available for your perusal as well.

19.  Do you do outdoor kitchens?

In a word, yes.  We handle a line of cabinetry specifically designed for outdoor applications.  We also fabricate cabinetry for outdoor kitchens, bars and entertainment areas in our shop utilizing marine grade plywood, stainless steel hardware and fasteners, durable, weather resistant wood species and finishes.

20.  Are you familiar with Quartz Surfaces used for counter tops?

Yes, we are very familiar with Quartz Surfaces. There are many brands of Quartz Surfaces. We have tried a number of them and have found Caesarstone, Zodiac and Cambria to be the best we have tried. These Quartz Surfaces are similar in quality and price, but they all have different colors and patterns. We have full sample selections of Caesarstone, Zodiac and Cambria available in our showroom.

21. Do you get involved in kitchen/bathroom remodeling projects?

Yes we do. We are constantly involved in kitchen remodeling and bathroom remodeling projects of all sizes and styles. Many of our clients love their homes, but want to update their homes. We can help you with both kitchen remodeling and bathroom remodeling. Our design staff will help you with a kitchen design or bathroom design as part of the process. We become very involved in the kitchen remodeling or bathroom remodeling project, from start to finish.

22. Why are your kitchen designs and bathroom designs considered to be so wonderful?

Our kitchen designs and bathroom designs have won numerous design awards. We have won awards for our kitchen designs and bathroom designs in 14 of the last 15 years. We are contacted frequently by different publications looking to showcase our kitchen designs and bathroom designs. In fact, our design work has been published 49 times.

23. What is the difference between kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets?

The main difference between kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets is size. Kitchen cabinets typically have a 24” depth and bathroom cabinets are usually 21” deep. While bathroom cabinets used to be about 6” shorter than kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets are now available in the same height as kitchen cabinets. Most of our clients prefer the taller bathroom cabinets in order not to have to bend so far.

24. Do you have any new or different kinds of countertops?

Yes we do. As a matter of fact, we are the exclusive provider in the Sarasota area for Caesarstone’s new “Concetto”. It is a hand-crafted surface made of semi-precious stones from around the world and it is absolutely gorgeous. It is available in 8 different colors and is on display in our showroom.
